EFQM MÜKEMMELLİK MODELİ UYGULAMALARININ ÇALIŞANLARIN TÜKENMİŞLİKLERİ ÜZERİNE ETKİSİ: SAĞLIK SEKTÖRÜNDE BİR ARAŞTIRMA

Abstract

EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management)
Mükemmellik Modeli, Avrupa ve Ulusal Kalite Ödülünü esas alan yapısıyla,
ülkemizde toplam kalite felsefesinin uygulamaya taşınmasında önemli bir yönetim
aracıdır. Model, tüm kaynakların etkili ve verimli kullanımını, yüksek performansı
ve sürekli iyileştirmeyi sağlayacak süreçleri ve bunlar arasındaki ilişkileri
düzenlemektedir. Bu çalışmada EFQM Mükemmellik Modeli uygulamalarının
çalışanların mesleki tükenmişliklerini ne ölçüde etkilediği araştırılmıştır. Bu
bağlamda, EFQM Mükemmellik Modelini etkili biçimde uygulayan ve 2006
yılında Ulusal Kalite Ödülü’nü almış olan bir hastane ile, anılan modeli
uygulamayan iki ayrı hastanenin çeşitli kliniklerinde görev yapan 241 hemşirenin
mesleki tükenmişlik düzeyleri karşılaştırmalı olarak incelenmiştir. Sonuçlar, kalite
ödülü kazanmış hastanede görev yapan hemşirelerin, duygusal tükenme, düşük
kişisel başarı ve genel tükenmişlik düzeylerinin diğer iki hastanedekilere göre
daha düşük olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır.
