OYUNLARIN ÖĞRENMEDEKİ YERİ VE ÖNEMİ

Abstract

Bu çalışma dil öğretiminde oyunların ELT sınıflarındaki rolü ve öğrenenlerin başarı düzeylerini artırıp artırmadığı ile ilgilidir.
Dil öğretimi sadece konferans verir gibi dersi anlatmak ve öğrencilere dersi dinletmek anlamına gelmez. Bu itibarla öğrenciler öğretmenlerin sadece dinleyicileri ve ders kitaplarının kölesi olmamalı, öğretmen ise sınıftaki herkesin derse katılabilmesi ve motive olması için bilgiyi oyunlar yoluyla aktarmalıdır. Hatta çekingen ve gönülsüz öğrencilerin bunu yapabilmeleri için yeterli ölçüde cesaret sahibi olmalarını sağlamalıdır. Böylece sınıftaki herkes öğreticinin baskı ve zorlaması olmaksızın derse katılabilir.

Abstract: This study is intented to identify the role of teaching games in ELT (English Language Teaching) classes and to find out whether it can contribute to the success of the learners.
Teaching a language does not only mean lecturing a lesson and setting the students to listen to the teachers. Instead of being only the listener of the teachers and the slave of the course books, the teacher can convey the information through games so that it can motivate the learners and make everyone in the class be a participant to join the lesson. Even the shy and unvolunteer ones may develop enough courage to do that. Thus, everybody in the class can participate in the lesson without any force and threat of the course teacher.
