Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine and compare critical thinking level and dispositions of the students in the Faculty of Divinity and the Faculty of Education (Department of Religious Culture and Ethics Knowledge). The data was obtained from the application of “California Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory”, translated into Turkish by Kökdemir, over the students, consisted of 273, studying at Ataturk University, Dicle University, İnönü University, Ondokuz Mayıs University and Uludag University in the 2011-2012 academic years. Descriptive statistics, t test and one-way analysis of variance were used for data analysis. As a result, critical thinking level and dispositions of pre-service teachers of religious culture and ethics knowledge was found medium. It was also found that the location where childhood was spent was found statistically significant whereas no significant difference by age, the type of faculty and geographical region.

Din Kültürü ve Ahlak Bilgisi Öğretmen Adaylarının Eleştirel Düşünme Eğilimleri (İlahiyat-Eğitim DKAB Karşılaştırması) / Critical Thinking Level and Dispositions of Pre-Service Teachers of Religious Culture and Ethics Knowledge

Abstract

Öz: Bu araştırmada, Din Kültürü ve Ahlak Bilgisi (DKAB) öğretmen adaylarının

eleştirel düşünme eğilimlerini belirlemek ve karşılaştırmak amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma

betimsel nitelikte ve tarama modelinde yürütülmüştür. Veriler, Kökdemir (2003) tarafından

Türkçeye uyarlanan Kaliforniya Eleştirel Düşünme Eğilimleri Ölçeğinin (KEDEÖ)

örneklem üzerinde uygulanmasından elde edilmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini Atatürk,

Dicle, İnönü, Ondokuz Mayıs ve Uludağ Üniversitelerinin İlahiyat Fakültesi ile Eğitim

Fakültesi DKAB Eğitimi Bölümlerinde öğrenim gören 273 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Verilerin

analizinde, betimsel istatistik, t testi ve tek yönlü varyans analizi kullanılmıştır.

Araştırmanın sonucunda, DKAB öğretmen adaylarının eleştirel düşünme eğilimleri

olumlu (orta) düzeyde bulunmuştur. Cinsiyet, lise türü, fakülte türü, ekonomik düzey ve

anne baba eğitimine göre anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmazken çocukluğun geçtiği yerleşim

birimi değişkeninde anlamlı farklılık elde edilmiştir.
