Abstract
ÖZET
Ziya Osman Saba'nın üslubunu belirleyen en önemli özelliklerden biri, eksilti(eııipsis) sanatını eserlerinde oldukça sık kuııanmasıdır. Eksilti hem dilbilgisini hem de üslup bilimi (stylistic) yakından ilgilendirmektedir. Bu durum hem Doğu belagati hem de Batı retoriği için geçerlidir. Eksilti kendini cümle düzeyinde, metin düzeyinde, pragmatik düzeyinde ve üslup bilim düzeyinde göstermektedir. Bizi ilgilendiren ve Ziya Osman Saba'nın şiirlerinde ele almaya çalıştığımız cümle düzeYİnde eksiltiler ise öznede, ibarede ve fiilde olmak üzere üç biçimde karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Bu üç biçimden şiirlerinde en çok gözlemlediğimiz ise fiil düzeyinde eksiltidir. Fiildeki eksiItin in en önemli işlevi gereksiz tekran engeııeyerek anlatırnda ekonomikliği sağlamaktır.
ABSTRACT
One of the most important features which determines Ziya Osman Saba's style is his frequent use of the figure of eHipsis in his works. Ellipsis is inter-related with grammar and stylistics. This is valid for both eastem belagat and westem rhetoric. Ellipsis reveals itself on the level of sentence, text, pragmatics and stylistic. The ellipses on the level of sentence which we are involved in Ziya Osman Saba's poems are apparent in three different locations in subject, phrase and verb. Among these three we have mostly come face to face with the one which is on the leveI of verb. The most important function of ellipsis is on verb level is to enable economic narration by preveting unneccessary repetition.
