This investigation was carried out in order to find out the m~rphological physical and chemica! properties of the :;oi1s derived from calcerous' and ha·· saltic 'p~rent materi·aL.from Urfa, Diyarbakır, Erzurum and Ri.ze regions with the purpose or'studying the. effect of parent material and elimate jn soil formation. A"cording to the results obtained all the horizons of A,B, and C except the profiles of number 1 formed on ba· salt in Urfa and number 8 formed on limestone parent material in Erzurum which have only A' and C horizons. The soils formed in the region of Diyarbakır and Urfa enter tbe great soiJ groups of Brown and Reddish-Brown and in the order of Aridosols according to the' 7lh approximation system. The Soils in the region of Erzurum were included in the great soil groups of Chestıiut and Brown and according to the 7lh apporoximation are all Mollisols except the young soil with A and C horizons of number 8, Which formed on limestone parent material being Entitisol. All the soils of Eastem Black sea are podzo1s and the profile having Argillic horizon is Alfisol and those having Spodic horizons are Spodosoıs. Thus it is determined that the most important factor in soil formatian in aLL the regions is the climate and the parent materiııl plays on additive role.
Bu çalışma,iklim ve anamateryu/in toprak oluşumwı.a etkisini incelemek amacıyla Urfa,Diyarbakır,Erzurum ve Rize bölgelerinde kireç taşı ve bazalt ana kayalar üzerinde oluşan topraklardan alman örnekler üzerinde yürütülmüştür. Toprakların Morfolojik,fiziksel ve kimyasal özeliklerine ilişkin olarak elde edilen sonuçlara gö're, toprakların kil miktarları %15.6-%75.4: silt miktarı % 18.0-46.7; kum niiktarı %3.2-%58.4; saturasyon yüzdeleri % 37.95-%98.93: özgül ağırlıklan 2.63-2.91 gr/cm 3; volüm ağırlıklun 0.92..ı1.71 gr/cmj;proıiteleri %, 37.82-68.00, pH değerleri 4.0.-8.0; oraRnik madde miktarları %0.11 ile % 3.82; CaC03 miktarları% 0.0-%62.39; katyon değiştirme kapasiteleri 27.82 - 64,68 mellOO gr.,. Toplam nitrojen 'miktarları%0,0086 %0,2153; elektriki kondajçtivite değer/eri 0.41-1.08 mmhos/cm; serbest Fe203 miktarları % 0.22-%4.837; serbest A 12°3 miktarı ise 0.042 ile %1.956 değerleri arasında değişmektedir. Urfa ve Diyarbakır bölgesi topraklan Aridosollar,Erzurum bölgesi toprakları Mollisol'lar, Rize bölgesi toprakları ise spodik horizon ihtiva edenler Spodosol, Argilik (Argillic) horizon ihtiva edenler ise Alfisol'ler ordusuna dahildirler.
