ÖZET
Atık suların arazi üzerine verilmesi yüz yıllardır dünyada sürdürülen bil' uygulamadır.
Atık suların sulama amacıyla kullanılmasında sağlanan önemli yararlar;
THE CHANGING OF NITROGEN, PHOSPHOROUS, AND POTASSIUM
IN THE SOILS AFFECTED BY WASTEWATER IRRIGATION AT
ERZURUM
SUMMARY
The practice of applying wastewaters' from human habitations to thcı land
has been practiced troughnout, the world for hUndreds of years. Several" major

benefits of wastewater irrigation have been recognized inc1uding water re-use,and
, cons.ervation, plant nutrient re'clyling, less costIy methodfor managingwastewater,
and İncreased agricultural productivity. One of the most tangible benefits of
wastewater ,irrigation is the recyeling of the plant riutrients of nitrogen, phosphorous,
and potassium, as wall as other micronutrients which are essential (or healthy
plant growth.
This paper presents the changing of the nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium
in the soil profHes with the long term effects of applying municipal wastewater
(on the agricultural soils at Erzurum.
