Abstract

ÖZET

Bu araştırma, autotetraploid çayır yumağı (Festuca pratensis
Hudsj'ntn C2 jenerasyonuna ait eutetraploid ve aneuploid bitkiler ile diploidlerini bazı
tarımsal özellikler yönünden karşılattırmak amacı ile yapılmışttr. Araştırma, toprak
saksılar kullanılarak sera koşullarında yürütülmüş ve büyütme ortamı olarak harç
toprağı kullanılmıştır.
Eutetraploid bitkilerin diploidlerine göre daha gümrah geliştiği ve bu bitkilerde
ortalama kardeş sayıstntn diploid ve aneuploidlerden daha düşük olduğu halde yeşil
ve kuru ot veriminin daha yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir. Eutetraploid bitkilerde salkım
yapılarının daha büyük ve salkım ekseni uzunluğu ile salkım sıklığt, salkımda bulunan
başakctk, çiçek ve tohum sayısının diploidlerinden daha yüksek olduğu halde,
Çimlenme gücü yönünden yalnızca tetraploid ve diploidler ile aneuploidler arasındaki
fark önemli olmuştur.
Önemli tarımsal özellikler yönünden diploid Senu çeşidine göre üstünlük
gösteren eutetraploid materyal, yeni bir çayır yumağı çeşidinin geliştirilmesi
bakuntndan ümitvar bulunmuştur.

COMPAIRING SOME AGRICULTURAL CHARACTERISTICS İN
DİPLOİD AND AUTOTETRAPLOID MEADOW FESCUE
(Fesiucapratensis Huds.) PLANTS

SUMMARY

This study hw carried out to compare some agricultural
characteristics of the diploid meadow fescue with those of eutetraploids and
aneuploids belonging to its Q generation. The research was done by using earthenpots under greenhouse conditions and soü mixture was used for the growing
medium.
it w as determined that eutetrapîoid plants grew more vigorous than their
diploids and that although the average diler nıtmber was less in these plants than
diploids and aneuploids,fresh weight and dry matteryields were higher than these. it
w>as alsofound that in eutetrapîoid plants panicle structures were bigger and that
rachis length and panicle density, spicula,flower and seed number, seed set rate were
greater than their diploids. Although îOOO-grain weight of seeds was greater in
eutetraploids and aneuploids than diploids, the difference only between tetraploids
and diploids with aneuploids from the seed germination standpoint vras found to be
signifıcant.
Eutetrapîoid material which demonstrated better results than diploid Senu cultivar in terms of important agricultural characteristics, was found to be promising for improving a new meadow fescue cultivar.
