Abstract

It should be noted that an important period of the history of Azerbaijan, which constitute the most important time of the Safavid connected with the name of Shah Ismail. In this article we try to paint the full portrait of Azerbaijan's famous women, Shah Ismail’s wife which is known in history as the Tajlu Begum. The symbol of Tajlu nowadays for our youth is example of brave, as her husband's friend and located on war. Many of historical sources show that Tajlu Begum eas fallen Ottoman capture. On the Safavids battle of Caldiran remembered as "the greatest defeat" and Ottoman sources describe this event on much versions, and sometimes exaggerated. Safawid sources prefer to remain silent. Ottoman historians report that Tajlu Begum was fallen a prisoner to Ottoman side and was married with Jafar Calabi one of ayans of Ottoman palace. Safawi historians reject this claim and substantiate on that Tajlu was on the Shah Ismail untill the end of his life. In tihs article we try to explain this claims basing on sources.
