Sınav Stresinin Uyku Hijyeni ve Aktivite Rol Dengesi Üzerine Etkisinin İncelenmesi: Kesitsel Bir Çalışma

Abstract
Amaç: Bu çalışma, liseye geçiş sınavına hazırlanan öğrencilerde sınav stresinin uyku hijyeni ve aktivite rol dengesi üzerindeki etkilerini incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır.
Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışmaya, yaş ortalaması 14.5±0.75 yıl olan 75 kız (%50) ve 75 erkek (%50) olmak üzere toplam 150 öğrenci katılmıştır. Veriler, web tabanlı uygulamalar aracılığıyla online anketler kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Katılımcıların demografik bilgileri kaydedildikten sonra uyku hijyenlerini değerlendirmek için Uyku Hijyeni İndeksi (UHİ), aktivite rol dengelerini ölçmek için Adölesan Aktivite Denge Ölçeği, stres seviyelerini belirlemek için ise Akademik Beklentilere İlişkin Stres Envanteri (ASE) uygulanmıştır.
Bulgu: İstatiksel analizler sonucunda, ASE total skoru ile UHİ total skoru arasında negatif yönde anlamlı ilişki görülürken, Adölesan Aktivite Dengesi Ölçeği total skoru ile pozitif yönde anlamlı ilişki görülmüştür (p=0.012). UHİ ile Adölesan Aktivite Dengesi Ölçeği total skoru arasında da negatif yönlü anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu görülmüştür (p = 0.009).
Sonuç: Bu çalışma, akademik beklentilere bağlı stres seviyesindeki artışın, adölesanların aktivite rol dengesi üzerinde olumsuz etkiler yaratabileceğini göstermektedir.

Abstract
Aims: This study aims to examine the effects of exam stress on sleep hygiene and activity-role balance in students preparing for the high school transition exam.
Materials and Methods: A total of 150 students, 75 girls (50%) and 75 boys (50%) with a mean age of 14.5±0.75 years, participated in the study. Data were collected using online questionnaires through web-based applications. After recording the demographic information of the participants, the Sleep Hygiene Index (SHI) was used to assess their sleep hygiene, the Adolescent Activity Balance Scale was used to measure their activity role balance, and the Academic Expectations Stress Inventory (AESI) was used to determine their stress levels.
Results: As a result of statistical analyses, there was a significant negative correlation between the total score of the ASI and the total score of the UHI, while there was a significant positive correlation with the total score of the Adolescent Activity Balance Scale (p=0.012). There was also a significant negative correlation between UHI and Adolescent Activity Balance Scale total score (p = 0.009).
Conclusion: This study suggests that increased stress levels due to academic expectations may have negative effects on the activity role balance of adolescents.
