Dil ve Edebiyatla İlgili Sözcük ve Terimlerin Kodlama Yöntemiyle Öğretimi

Abstract

Batı’da yıllardır uygulanan ancak ülkemizde yakın zamanlarda uygulamalarını gördüğümüz kodlama yöntemiyle sözcük öğretimi, öğrenilecek sözcüğü çağrıştıran bir kodun bir senaryo içerisinde görsel öğelerle (karikatür, resim) sunulmasıyla gerçekleşir. Yeni sözcük öğrenmenin güçlüğü dikkate alınırsa bu metot, kısa zamanda kalıcı öğrenmeyi sağlaması açısından dil ve edebiyat terimlerinin öğretiminde ve yabancı dillerdeki sözcüklerin öğretiminde kullanılmakta ve büyük kolaylık sağlamaktadır. Öğretmen ve öğrenciler için her derse ait konularda uygulanabilmesi, materyal halinde sunulması ile doğru orantılı olarak gerçekleşebilir. Zaten bu yöntemi kullanan öğretmen veya öğrenci bir müddet sonra kodlama yöntemi ile kendi kendine materyal hazırlar hale gelecektir. Bu çalışmada kodlama yöntemine göre dil ve edebiyatla ilgili sözcük ve terimlerin öğretimiyle ilgili örnek uygulamalar sunulmakta ve bu yöntemin önemi vurgulanmaktadır.

Teaching Words and Terms about Language and Literature Using the Coding Method

Abstract

Teaching vocabulary using the coding method which has long been used in the West, has found place in our country only in the recent past. In this method vocabulary is taught by presenting the new vocabulary through visual aids (pictures, cartoons) presented in context. Should difficulties of learning new vocabulary be taken into account, this method helps a great deal in the teaching of foreign vocabulary and of literary terms and jargons as it maintains permanent learning in a short period. It can come into being for the teachers and students as it can be used in every lesson and is in correct ratio when it is presented as material. A teacher or a student who uses this method will soon start preparing new materials using the coding method. In this study examples of presentations about the teaching of literary terms and jargons are provided and the importance of this method is emphasized
