Abstract

The month of Ramadan is a very important time period for Muslims. Since theMuslims, who can meet the conditions of fasting, fast besides some other kinds of rituals in orderto attain Allah’s blessing in this month. The prayer of Tarawih is unique for the month. The Qur’anwas revealed in the month of Ramadan. Because of these and some other reasons certainadministrative regulations were issued and employed in the month. These regulations andparticularly the tanbihnamas issued for regulating life in Istanbul during Ramadan in Tanzimatperiod are studied in the article
