Abstract

Islamic revelation in terms of modern debates in Western thought In this article I will primarily examine the theological status of Islamic revelation in terms of modern debates in Western thought. To be able to do this, I will clarify the distinction between propositional and non-propositional understanding of revelation in Western thought. Secondly I will focus on the basic features of Islamic revelation in reference to the Quranic verses. Finally I will evaluate the nature of Islamic revelation from both, Quranic and Western, sides
