ANALYSIS OF INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIVENESS LEVEL OF THE TURKISH PLASTIC PIPE INDUSTRY

Abstract

Turkish plastic pipe industry is rapidly developing and making a significant contribution to national economy. This work has been done to understand the reasons for the success of the sector and to make contribution to the sustainability of it. In the study firstly international competitiveness of plastic pipe industry was set out by international competitiveness indices and then industry's international competitiveness was analyzed by using the Porter's diamond model. The last part of the study that used a qualitative research method, some strategies was suggested to sustain the competitiveness of the sector and to reach a more competitive position

TÜRK PLASTİK BORU SEKTÖRÜNÜN ULUSLARARASI REKABETÇİLİK DÜZEYİNİN ANALİZİ

Abstract

Türk plastik boru sektörü hızla gelişmekte ve ülke ekonomisine önemli katkılar sağlamaktadır. Bu sektörün elde ettiği başarının sebeplerini anlamak ve başarısının sürdürülebilmesine katkıda bulunmak amacı ile bu çalışma yapılmıştır. Çalışmada öncelikle plastik boru sektörünün rekabet gücü endeksleri ile uluslararası rekabet gücü ortaya konmuş sonrasında Porter’ın elmas modeli kullanılarak sektörün uluslararası rekabetçilik analizi yapılmıştır. Nitel araştırma yönteminin kullanıldığı çalışmanın, sonuç bölümünde ise sektörün rekabet durumunun sürdürülebilirliği ve daha rekabetçi bir konuma gelebilmesi için stratejiler önerilmiştir
