EKONOMİ BAKIŞ AÇISINDAN ÖRGÜTSEL KÜÇÜLME

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı 1970'li yıllarda başlayıp, artan bir eğilimle günümüzde devam eden örgütsel küçülme uygulamalarının ekonomik etkilerini incelemektir. Literatür incelemesi yoluyla gerçekleştirilen çalışma, küçülmelerin ekonomik etkilerini mikro ve makro bazda, iki ana başlık etrafında incelemektedir. Mikro bazda, küçülen işletmelerin faaliyet performanslarındaki ve hisse senedi fiyatlarındaki değişimi inceleyen çalışmalar incelenmiştir. Faaliyet performansı ve hisse senedi fiyatındaki değişim, küçülmenin nedeni, nasıl yürütüldüğü ve piyasanın bunları nasıl algıladığı ile ilişkilidir. Araştırmalar farklı sonuçlar ortaya koymakla birlikte, genellikle gerek hisse fiyatı, gerek faaliyet performansında düşüş görüldüğüne işaret etmektedir. Makro bazda ise küçülmelerin işsizlik üzerinde yarattığı etkiler incelenmiştir. İşten çıkarmaların arttığı yıllarda işsizlik oranı da artmaktadır. Bu sonuç gerek makro ekonomik politikalar ile ilişkisi, gerek neden olduğu sosyal etkiler açısından incelemeye değerdir.
