Abstract

Methylene blue staining was performed and random biopsies were taken in 35 patients with bladder tumors and 4 patients with chronic cystitis. Good staining was observed in patients with grade II and III tumors. Thus, a correlation was observed between staining density and tumor grade. Since some authers couldn’t demonstrate staining of the superficial bladder tumors like carcinoma ın situ, with methylene blue well enough, they rejekted this method in the diagnosis of endophitic tumors. We couldn’t test this method in the superficial bladder tumors because there were no cases in our work.

MESANE TÜMÖRLERİNDE METİLEN MAVİSİ İLE BOYAMA TESTİNİN DEĞERİ

Abstract

Mesane tümörlü 35 hasta ile kronik sistitli 4 hastaya metilen mavisi ile boyama yapıldı ve bunlardan random biopsileri alındı. Grade İI ve III tümörlerinde iyi bir boyama tesbit edildi. Böylece tümörün grade'si ile boyanma yoğunluğu arasında bir korelasyon olduğu tesbit edildi. Karsinoma insitu gibi yüzeyel tümörlerin metilen mavisı ile boyanması çeşitli otörler tarafından kesin olarak tesbit edilemediğinden endofitik tümörlerde teşhis amacı ile kullanılmasının yeterli olamayacağı savunuldu. Bizim vakalarımızda yüzeyel mesane tümörü tesbit edilmediğinden boyama testi bu yönden değerlendirilemedi.
