Factor Analysis an its application on data from kindey transplanted patients

Abstract

In this study, the pripciples of Factor Analysis method which is one of the means for multivariate analvsis are explained, and data related to blood biochemistry and blood pressure of 54 kidney transplanted patients have been evaluated by this method. Three different Factor Analyses are carried out using 18 variables regarding the blood biochemistry and blood pressure of patients detected prior to, and, at the first and third months following the transplantation operation. The first, second and third analyses are resulted with 7, 6, 7 factors respectively, and these factors are individually discussed and named in each analysis. Finally, evaluation of factor scores derived from the analyses results is illustrated.

Abstract

Bu arastlrmada, çok dežiskenli istatistiksel analiz yöntemlerinden biri olan Faktör Analizi metodunun esaslarl açlklanrms ve böbrek transplantasyonu yapllan 54 hastamn kan biyokimyasl ve kan basmçlarma iliskin degerler, sözkonusu metodla degerlendirilmistir.Hastalarm böbrek transplantasyonu öncesinde ve operasyon sonrasl dönemin birinci ve üçüncü aylarmda tespit edilen kan biyokimyasl ve kan basmçlarma ait 18 dežisken ile 3 ayrl Faktör Analizi yapllml$lr. Analizlerden birincisi 7, ikincisi 6, üçüncüsü ise yine 7 faktörlü bir çözümle sonuçlanmlî ve bu faktörler her analizde ayrl ayrl adlandlrllmlâ ve tartlS11m1St1r. Analiz sonuçlaryndan elde edilen faktör skorlarmm nasll de¿erlendirilecegi açlklanrmstlr.
