Processus Supracondylarıs Konusunda İnceleme

Processus supracondylaris, humerus'un distal kısınının. anteromedial'inde değişik büyüklükte, aşağıya, öne ve mediale doğru yönelmiş gagaya benzer bir kemik çıkıntısıdır. (Şekil la, Ib, 4a, 4b) Bu çıkıntı epicondylus medialis'in 5 - 7 cm. kadar proksimal bulunur ve fibröz bir şeritle (Struthers ligamenti) epicondylusmedialis'e tutunur (Şekil 2 a). Bu şekilde meydana gelmiş olan osteo - fibröz kanaldan n. medianus ve a. brachialis geçer. A. brachialis, processus supracondylaris'in yukarısında uç dallarına ayrılmış ise, bu kanaldan a. brachialis yerine, a. ulnaris geçer (2,7,17,18,23,24,27,28) (Şekil 3).

The supracondylar process is a beak-like bony protrusion of varying sizes on the anteromedial aspect of the distal part of the humerus, directed downwards, forwards and medially (Figures Ia, Ib, 4a, 4b). This protrusion is located 5-7 cm proximal to the medial epicondyle and is attached to the medial epicondyle by a fibrous band (Struthers ligament) (Figure 2a). The median nerve and the brachial artery pass through the osteo-fibrous canal thus formed. If the brachial artery is divided into terminal branches above the supracondylar process, the ulnaris artery passes through this canal instead of the brachial artery (2,7,17,18,23,24,27,28) (Figure 3).
