Abstract

Thyroid autoantibodies were investigated in patients with toxic diffuse goiter, endocrine exophtalmos, toxic nodular goiter, endemic goiter and the role of autoilmmune reactions in the etiopathogenesis
of these thyroid disorders is discussed. Furthermore, the significance of the presence of thyroid autoantibodies in thyroid cancers and in some polyendocrinopathies is explained.

Abstract

48 toksik difüz guvatr, 26 endoktin exphtalmos, 20 toksik no- düler guvatr, 180 basit difüz guvatr ve 188 basit nodüler guvatr vakasında tiroid otoantikorları incelenmiş ve otoilmmünitenin bu has- talıkların husulündeki yeri münakaşa edilmiştir. Ayrıca tiroid kanseri ve bazı pluriglandüler sendromlarda tesbit edilen tiroid otoantikor- larının anlamı üzerinde durulmuştur,
