Abstract

1. Türkiyede ilk defa neşredilmiş olduğu zannedilen akut bir
promiyelositer lösemi vak'ası takdim olundu.
2. Akut promiyelositer löseminin literatürde önceleri akut
miyeloit lösemi, sonraları bizzat akut promiyelositer lösemi adı ile
yayınlanmış olan bir kısım vak'aları özellikleri ile özet olarak bhildirildi.
3. Akut promiyelositer lösemiyi karakterize eden ve promiyelosit
adı verilen hücrelerin özelliklerine işaret edildi. Bu tip lösemideki
fibrinojen değişikliklerinin mahiyeti ve hemorajik belirtilerin
sebebleri münakaşa edildi. Fibrinojenopeninin bu hastalıkta sabit
bir bulgu teşkil ettiği ve bunun trombositopeni ile bir arada kanama
diyatezinin husulünde sorumlu olduğu kanaatı ortaya konuldu

Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia

Abstract

1. A case of acute promyelocytic leukemia, believed to be the first to be published in Türkiye, was presented.

2. A number of cases of acute promyelocytic leukemia, initially published in the literature as acute myeloid leukemia and later as acute promyelocytic leukemia itself, were summarized.

3. The characteristics of the cells called promyelocytes, which characterize acute promyelocytic leukemia, were pointed out. The nature of fibrinogen changes and the causes of hemorrhagic manifestations in this type of leukemia were discussed. It was concluded that fibrinogenopenia is a consistent finding in this disease and that it is responsible for the bleeding diathesis associated with thrombocytopenia.
