Apocrine ductal carcinoma in lip of a cat
Abstract
In the study, ductal carcinoma was described in labium inferior of a 4 years-old female cat, which reffered to clinics with the complaints of difficulty in eating anorexia and hypersalivation. Macroscopically, the mass was covered with skin and sized in 6x3x2 cm, weighed of 7 gr and fluctuant. There were multiple cysts and brownish-yellow mucinous secret in cutting surfaces. In cytopathological examination; anaplastic ductal epithelial cell, having polihedral shaped, elongated-hypochromatic nuclei and vacuolated cytoplasm, were attended. Histopathologically, neoplastic ductal epithelia showing large-hyperchromatic nuclei and eosinophilic cytoplasm was arreged glands among muscle cells. It was noted that the glands were dilated and developed papillary proliferations into lumen. Cysts were covered with flattened epitheliums and filled with secret in lumens. In interglandular areas, hemorrhagia and mononuclear cells were observed
