Ankara Üniversitesi Veteriner Fakültesi Dergisi (Ankara Univ Vet Fak Derg) is an international, peer-reviewed, and open-access journal published quarterly in January, April, July, and October.

The journal aims to publish high-quality original research articles that make a significant contribution to the fields of veterinary medicine and animal husbandry at an international level.

Ankara Univ Vet Fak Derg is indexed in the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE, Q3) and Scopus (Q2).

There are no submission, publication, or page charges for manuscripts published in Ankara Univ Vet Fak Derg.

Only manuscripts written in English are accepted for evaluation.

The official abbreviation of the journal is “Ankara Univ Vet Fak Derg.”

Ankara Univ Vet Fak Derg endorses the ARRIVE guidelines (https://arriveguidelines.org/) for reporting experiments involving live animals. Authors and reviewers are required to use the ARRIVE guidelines as a checklist, which can be accessed at https://arriveguidelines.org/resources/author-checklists.

The editors reserve the right to request the completed checklist and to reject submissions that do not comply with these guidelines, raise ethical or animal welfare concerns, or describe procedures not justified by the scientific value of the work presented.

For systematic reviews and meta-analyses of randomized controlled trials, authors should adhere to the PRISMA statement, which includes a checklist and a flow diagram. Authors must include a PRISMA flow diagram in their article and submit a completed checklist. Blank templates of the checklist and flow diagram are available from the EQUATOR Network (https://www.equator-network.org/).

Ankara Univ Vet Fak Derg does not publish narrative reviews, except as part of invited collections.
