Abstract

Afyon yöresinde 1 yaşın üstünde 172 koyuna ait serum örnekleri, Sabin-Feldman (SF) boya testi ile Toxoplasma gondii antikorları yönünden kontrol edilmiştir. Yapılan serolojik muayene sonucunda 172 koyundan 94’ü (% 54.65) seropozitif bulunmuştur. Bu koyun serumlarının titrasyon basamağı 1/16’da 42; 1/64’de 33; 1/256’da 16 ve 1/1024’de 3 adedinin pozitiflik verdiği tespit edilmiştir

Seroprevalence of Toxoplasma gondii in sheep using Sabin-Feldman (SF) dye test in Afyon province

Abstract

The sera of 172 sheep over one year of age, collected in Afyon region were tested by the SF dye test for Toxoplasma gondii antibodies. Obtained results revealed 54. 65 % (94 out of 172) of sheep to have Toxoplasma gondii antibodies at a titer of 1:16 and above (42 samples at 1/16, 33 at 1/64, 16 at 1/256 and 3 at 1/1024)
