A case of mammary hypertrophy İn a female cat

Abstract

The aim of this case report was to attract attention to the mammary hypertrophy which occurs rarely in the youngfemale cats. A 5 month-old the Tekir female cat suffering from mammary gland nodules brought to the cIinics was the material ofthis case. These nodules were charecterizedby rapid (over 1 to 2 weeks) diffuse enlargement of right caudo-abdominal,abdominal, right thoracal, left caudo-abdominal,ules ranged from 6x5x3.5; 7x5xz3; 1.5x1xO.6; 2x2x1.5; L5xlxO.8 and 4x3x2.5 cm, respectively. Right and left inguinal mammaryglands were normal in appearence. The milk secretion in affected mammary glands was found. However, necrosis and inflammationwere not found. Accordingto the clinical examinationsOvariohysterectomythe diagnosis.After the operation,mammary gland which regressedinfluence of luteal progesterone,and OHE may be considered as an effective treatment method

Bir kedide meme hipertrofisi olgusu

Abstract

Bu olgu takdimininamacı, kedilerde nadiren rastlanan meme hipertrofisinedikkat çekmekti. Bu çalışmanın materyalinimemelerindekitleler bulunduğukraniyo-abdominal,diffuz bir büyüme ile karakterizeydiolarak ölçüldü. Sağ ve sol i~guinal meme lobları normal yapıdaydı. Etkilenen meme loblarında süt sekresyonuvardı, nekroz veyayangı belirtisi yoktu. Yapılan klinik muayene ve vaginal sitoloji ile olgunun meme hipertrofisi olduğuna karar verildi. Tedavi amaçlıovariohisterektomigün sonra hipertrofininmeme bezi operasyonu takip eden 14 gün içinde normal durumuna döndü. Sonuç olarak meme hipertrofisinegeneııikle luteal progesteron altındaki genç kedilerde rastlandığı ve OHE'nin etkili bir tedavi yöntemi olabileceği kanısına varıldı
