ZAMAN YÖNELIMININ ÖRGÜTSEL VATANDAŞLIK DAVRANIŞINA ETKISI

Abstract

Örgütsel vatandaşlık davranışı çalışanların gönüllü olarak insiyatif alması, sorun çözmesi, yenilik yapmasıdır. Çalışanların neden bu tür gönüllü davranışları gösterdiklerini anlamak örgütsel vatandaşlık davranışının yaygınlaştırılması açısından önemlidir. Bu araştırmanın temel amacı, çalışanların geçmiş, şimdi ve gelecek zaman yöneliminin örgütsel vatandaşlık davranışına olan etkisini ortaya koymaktır. Bu amaçla Ankara'daki Teknopark çalışanları üzerinde bir araştırma yapılmıştır. Veriler anket yöntemiyle toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde korelasyon ve regresyon testleri yapılmış ve verilerin demografik özelliklere göre farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığına bakılmıştır. Bulgular tüm zaman yönelimleri ile örgütsel vatandaşlık davranışı arasında anlamlı ve olumlu bir etkiye sahip olduğunu göstermektedir. Demografik değişkenler açısında yaş ve eğitim düzeyine göre örgütsel vatandaşlık davranışında bir farklılaşma olduğu da görülmüştür. Sonuç olarak örgütsel vatandaşlık davranışları örgütsel faktörlerden olduğu kadar bireysel faktörlerden de etkilenmektedir. Çalışanların zaman algısı ve zaman yöneliminin de örgütsel vatandaşlık davranışını etkilediği söylenebilir.

THE EFFECT OF TIME ORIENTATION ON ORGANIZATIONAL CITIZENSHIP BEHAVIOR

Abstract

Organizational citizenship behavior mean that employees voluntarily take initiative, solve problems and innovate. Understanding why employees show such voluntary behavior is important for disseminating organizational citizenship behavior. The main purpose of this research is to reveal the effect of employees' past, present and future time orientation on organizational citizenship behavior. For this purpose, a research was conducted on Technopark employees in Ankara. Data was collected by survey method. Correlation and regression tests were performed in the analysis of the data and it was examined whether the data differed according to demographic characteristics. Findings show that there is a significant and positive effect between all time orientations and organizational citizenship behavior. It has also been observed that there is a differentiation in organizational citizenship behavior according to age and education level in terms of demographic variables. As a result, organizational citizenship behaviors are affected by individual factors as well as organizational factors. It can be said that employees' time perception and time orientation also affect organizational citizenship behavior.
