Yöresel cırgalan biberi genotiplerinin ISSR markırları ile karakterizasyonu

Abstract
Cırgalan biberi, Kayseri’de uzun yıllardan beri yetiştirilen, kurutulduktan sonra toz biber olarak tüketilen yerli bir çeşittir olup bölgede baharat piyasasında hatırı sayılır değere sahiptir. Ancak son yıllarda söz konusu çeşidin verimliliği ve kalitesindeki düşüşler biber çeşidinin yavaş yavaş üretimden çekilmesine neden olabilecektir. Biber ıslahının ilk aşaması mevcut genotiplerin karakterize edilmesidir. Bu çalışmada Kayseri ili merkez ve ilçelerinden temin edilen 16 adet farklı Cırgalan biberi genotipinin ISSR markır sistemi ile karakterizasyonu yapılmıştır. Çalışmada 16 adet ISSR primerinden toplam 107 band elde edilmiş ve bu bandlardan 23 adedi polimorfik bulunmuştur. Genetik benzerlik 0.95-0.99 arasında belirlenmiştir. Çalışmadan elde edilen bulgular Kayseri ve yöresinde yetiştiriciliği yapılan Cırgalan biber genotipleri arasında genetik farklılığın olduğunu göstermiştir. Bu bulgular ışığında yapılacak ıslah çalışmaları ile Kayseri ve yöresine adapte olmuş söz konusu biber çeşidinin verim ve kalitenin yanında hastalık ve zararlılara dayanımın kazandırılarak üretim alanlarının arttırılmasında faydalı olabilecektir.
