Article Application and Evaluation Process

ARTICLE APPLICATION AND EVALUATION PROCESS

All manuscripts are first reviewed by the editorial board; it is checked for compliance with the scope and writing conditions of the journal. In addition, plagiarism is checked with the Ithenticate program. Appropriate articles are sent to two selected referees about the topics regards. The referees may vote “rejection”, “major revision”, “minor revision” or “acceptance”. At the end of the  15 days referee evaluation process, the article which receives acceptance votes from both referees will be transferred to the typesetting process. The revised article enters the revision process. If the article receives acceptance or revision from a referee and a rejection vote from an referee, it is sent to a third referee for evaluation. The article, which receives a total of two acceptance votes from the referees, enters into the typesetting process. The article that receives the approval from one referee and the revision vote from the other referee enters the revision process.

Reviewer reports from the referees are evaluated by the editorial board and the author is informed which revisions does the author supposed to do. The article revised by the author is not sent to the referees again, the appropriateness of the revisions are evaluated by the editorial board. Even if any article receives an acceptance vote from the referees, it may be rejected by the editorial board if the revision are not considered sufficient.

An article that receives revision from the referees should be re-uploaded to the system within 15 days with the necessary arrangements. The article which is not revised and uploded in this period is deducted from the system. The authors may be asked to make arrangements during the preparation and typesetting process. In order for the manuscript to be published, the authors are obliged to make the required arrangements at any time.

In the text of the manuscript, the statements which give clues about the identities of the authors should not be included as much as possible. However, if there are inevitable clues due to the subject and content of the article, editorial board will hide this information before the article is sent to the referees.

After the reviewer evaluation process is completed, a letter of acceptance can be given for the articles that are accepted as a result of the editorial board evaluation. The volume and number in which the article will be published are not specified in the acceptance letter. However, the authors are obliged to make the formal and contextual revisions requested by the editorial board until the article is published. The article will not be published without the required edits.
