Baberti Journal Publishing Principles

1. Baberti Journal aims to contribute to the fields of theology and social sciences by publishing studies with national and international scientific qualities.
2. Baberti Journal is a peer-reviewed journal published twice yearly (two issues).
3. The journal's publication language is Turkish, but scientific articles in foreign languages can also be published with Turkish abstracts and references. The journal should be written as Baberti in all languages.
4. The article should include abstracts in English and Turkish, each not exceeding 200 words, at the beginning of the text. The English abstract should also include the full English title of the article above the abstract. Additionally, keywords not exceeding five words should be provided in English and Turkish.
5. The articles must be entered with their Turkish titles for article submissions in foreign languages.
6. Article titles should be capitalised with the first letter of each word, except for conjunctions.
7. The author(s) or, if any, the author(s)' employer retains the copyright and intellectual property rights.
8. The author(s) commit that the publisher has no responsibility for any claims or lawsuits brought by third parties due to copyright infringement and that all responsibility lies with them.
9. Articles to be published must be original and academic works prepared using appropriate research methods for their fields. Translations, book reviews, critiques, and evaluations contributing to the scientific field are also accepted.
10. Articles to be published should be submitted through the system (DergiPark) as an "Attached Word Document."
11. Submitted works should not have been previously published or submitted for publication elsewhere.
12. Submitted articles, including images, figures, maps, etc., should not exceed 8,000 words.
13. The preliminary review of articles submitted for publication regarding form and content is conducted by the Baberti Journal Editorial Board. Based on this review, the board decides whether the articles will be peer-reviewed. The board rejects articles deemed unsuitable in terms of form and content. Articles decided to be peer-reviewed are initially sent to two reviewers for evaluation (translations are sent to reviewers along with the original texts). Our journal applies the "double-blind review" system. Reviewers do not see the author, and the author does not see the reviewers. Based on the reviewer evaluations:
a. If both reviewers give a "cannot be published" report, the article will not be published.
b. If one of the two reviewers gives a "can be published" report or the Editorial Board does not find the reviewer reports sufficient, a third reviewer's opinion is sought. The decision is made based on the incoming report (if deemed necessary, the Baberti Journal Editorial Board has the right to make the final decision without consulting a third reviewer).
c. If one or both reviewers give a "can be published after revisions" report, the article is returned to the author for necessary revisions. If required, the revised article may be resubmitted to the relevant reviewer(s) for final evaluation.
d. Approved articles are sent to the author to be formatted according to the Baberti Journal format.
e. The Editorial Board reserves the right to make minor changes in spelling, etc., to ensure the journal's appearance and style consistency.
f. Final versions undergo a final review and are prepared for publication.
14. Authors are informed about the status of their submitted articles within three months at the latest.
15. A maximum of one (original/translated) work by the same author can be published in one issue.
16. No fee is paid to the author for published articles. The author(s) bear full scientific and legal responsibility for the published work's language, style, and content, and the Editorial Board is not responsible.
17. The decision-making authority on matters not specified here belongs to the Baberti Journal Editorial Board.
