IUCN threatened categories on endemic taxa which is specific to Erzincan Turkey

Abstract

In this study, the observations on the population of 49 taxa which are endemic to Erzincan Turkey were given. According to the observations, the IUCN categories of 31 taxa, indicated in Turkish Plant Red Data Book, were updated. The new IUCN categories were suggested for 18 taxon which were introduced to science from Erzincan after this publication. According to findings, it was recommended that 23 taxa are Critically Endangered CR , 12 of them Endangered EN , and 10 are Vulnerable VU categories. 4 of which are evaluated in Lower Risk LC . According to the distribution of Critically Endangered and Endangered taxa, the priority areas in terms of nature conservation plants were proposed for Erzincan

Erzincan Türkiye ’a özgü endemik bitki taksonlarının IUCN tehdit kategorileri

Abstract

Araştırmada Erzincan’a özgü 49 taksona ait populasyon gözlemlerine yer verildi. Gözlem sonuçlarına göre Türkiye Bitkileri Kırmızı Kitabı’nda yer alan 31 taksona ait IUCN kategorisi güncellendi. Söz konusu eserin yayın tarihinden sonra bilim dünyasına tanıtılan Erzincan’a özgü 18 takson için de yeni kategoriler önerildi. Sonuçlara göre taksonlardan 23’ü Kritik CR , 12’si Tehlikede EN ve 10 tanesi ise Duyarlı VU kategorisindedir. 4 taksonun Düşük Riskli LC kategoride olduğu değerlendirildi. CR ve EN kategorisindeki taksonların dağılımlarına göre Erzincan genelindeki bitkiler açısından korumada öncelikli alanlar belirlendi
