The natural species of genus Pelargonium L'Hér. Geraniaceae in Turkey and their usage

Abstract

Pelargonium genus have rich variety in the world. Both the color and form of the flowers, as well as the odor and form of the leaves, have gained interest and appreciation as ornamental and aromatic plants in various parts of the world. According to Davis, the author of Flora Of Turkey, there are two natural Pelargonium taxa in Anatolia; "Pelargonium endlicherianum Fenzl" and "Pelargonium quercetorum Agnew". The missing descriptions and distributions of these taxa and then information on potential use of ornamental are given

Türkiye’nin doğal Sardunya [Pelargonium L'Hér. Geraniaceae ] türleri ve kullanımı

Abstract

Pelargonium L'Hér. Sardunya dünyada zengin çeşitliliğe sahiptir. Gerek çiçeklerinin rengi ve formu, gerekse yapraklarının kokusu ve biçimiyle, dünyanın çeşitli yerlerinde süs ve aromatik bitki olarak ilgi ve beğeni kazanmıştır. Flora of Turkey yazarı Davis’e göre Anadolu'da doğal olarak yetişen iki sardunya türü bulunmaktadır; "Pelargonium endlicherianum Fenzl" ve "Pelargonium quercetorum Agnew". Makalede taksonların betimi zenginleştirilmiş ve dağılımları belirtilmiştir. Ardından taksonların süs bitkisi kullanım potansiyeli hakkında bilgi verilmiştir
