Akdeniz İklim Koşullarında Karık ve Damla Yöntemleriyle Uygulanan Kısmi Kök Kuruluğu (PRD) ve Geleneksel Kısıntılı Sulama Stratejilerinin Salçalık Biberde Verim ve Kalite Üzerine Etkilerinin Belirlenmesi

Öz

Çukurova Bölgesinde yüksek yoğunlukla üretimi yapılan salçalık biber yetiştiriciliğinde verim ve kalitenin arttırılması amacıyla yeni sulama teknolojileri ile çiftçinin hali hazırda uyguladığı geleneksel sulama yöntemleri uygulanarak karşılaştırılmıştır. Araştırma, 2010 ve 2011 yıllarında Bahçe Kültürleri Araştırma Enstitüsü Topçu İstasyonunda Karaisalı salçalık biber bitkisinde yürütülmüştür. Deneme konuları, damla sulama parsellerinde 60 cm toprak derinliğinde kullanılabilir nemin %25’i kullanıldığında tam sulama konusu (DTS) tarla kapasitesine getirilmiştir. Diğer konular ise tam sulama konusunun %75’i (DKS75) ve %50’sinin uygulanması şeklinde oluşturularak farklı sulama düzeyleri (DKS-50) ile farklı kısmi kök kuruluğu (PRD) uygulamaları (sabit PRD (DSPRD), alternatif PRD (DAPRD)) olmuştur. Ayrıca, çiftçilerin yoğun kullandığı karık sulama yöntemiyle, atlamalı karık (AKS) ve PRD karık (PRDKS) ile karıkta tam sulama (KTS) gibi farklı karık işletim biçimleri de incelenmiştir. KTS’de 60 cm kök derinliğindeki kullanılabilir nemin %40’ı tüketildiğinde eksik nem tarla kapasitesine tamamlanırken, AKS ve PRDKS konularına KTS’ye uygulanan sulama suyunun yarısı uygulanmıştır. AKS konusunda her sulamada aynı karık sulanırken, PRDKS konusunda ise bir önceki sulamada sulanmayan karıklara su uygulanmıştır. Araştırma karık ve damla sulama sistemlerinde olmak üzere dört yinelemeli tesadüf blokları deneme deseninde yürütülmüştür. Damla sulama konularında en yüksek verim DTS’den alınırken, karık sulama konularında ise KTS konusu en yüksek verimle sonuçlanmıştır.

Determination of Effects of Deficit and Partial Rootzone Drying Irrigation Strategies Applied with Drip and Furrow Methods on Yield and Quality of Processing Pepper under the Mediterranean Climatic Conditions

Abstract

New irrigation technologies and commonly used traditional furrow irrigation methods were compared in order to increase yield and quality of processing pepper widely grown in the Çukurova Region. This research was carried out in 2010-2011 growing seasons at Topçu Station of the Horticultural Research Institute, using Karaisalı processing pepper. The experimental treatments; Drip treatments consist of full irrigation (DTS), deficit irrigation DI75, DI50 and DAPRD. irrigation was applied when 25% of the available water in the 60 cm soil depth was used and replenished to field capacity in full irrigation treatment. In furrow irrigation, treatments consist of full irrigation (KTS), alternative furrow (AKS) and PRD furrow (PRDKS). irrigation was applied when 40% of the available water in 60 cm soil depth was used, soil water deficit was refilled to field capacity in full irrigation treatment (KTS). AKS and PRDKS received 50% of water applied to KTS. In AKS the same furrows were irrigated while PRDKS irrigated alternately. Experimental design was randomized blocks with four replications for drip and furrow treatments. Highest yield in drip system was obtained from the DTS treatment. In furrow treatments, KTS resulted in the highest yield.
