Abstract

Bu çalışma, 1982-1987 yılları arasında, Bursa-Yenişehir bölgesinde yaygın yetiştiriciliği yapılan ve halen bu bölgeden ihraç edilmekte olan çorbacı biberi popülasyonundan, standart bir çeşit geliştirilmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışmada; teksel seleksiyonda yedek tohum saklama yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Seleksiyon boyunca; morfolojik, pomolojik karakterler ve verim gözlenmiştir. Çorbacı hatları içinden 12 no.lu hat, en iyi verim ile en üstün morfolojik ve pomolojik özellikler göstermiştir. Çorbacı biberi popülasyonundan geliştirilen 12 no.lu hat "Yalova Çorbacı 12" ismi ile tescil edilerek, standart çeşitler arasına girmiştir. Dekara verimi 4-4.5 ton olan bu çeşidin meyveleri 18-20 g ağırlığında, 20-22 cm uzunluğunda ince sivri, sarımsı açık yeşil renkli ve tatlıdır. "Yalova Çorbacı 12" bu özellikleri ile taze ve turşuluk olarak iç ve dış pazar isteklerine uygun bir çeşittir.

Breeding of "Çorbacı" Pepper

Abstract

The aim of this study is to develop standard variety from the population of "Çorbacı" pepper in 1982-1987. The method of reserve seed preservation in single plant selection was used in this study. Morphological and pomological characteristics and yield were observed during the selection. The number 12 was selected for the highest yield and the best characteristics. The standard variety of Çorbacı population was named and registered as "Yalova Çorbacı 12". The size of the fruits is about 18-20 g and the colour of the skin is yellowish light green and sweet. The yield per decare is about 4-4.5 tons. In the light of above characteristics Yalova Çorbacı 12 variety has been found to be suitable for fresh market and pickling industry for local and foreign markets.
