Bazı Önemli Kestane Çeşitleri Arasındaki Melezlemelerden Elde Edilmiş Çöğürlerin Gelişme Karakterleri

Abstract

Bu araştırma 1979-1983 yılları arasında çeşitler arası melezlemelerden sağlanan tohumların çöğürleri üzerinde yapılmış ve aşağıdaki sonuçlar elde edilmiştir. Kestane çöğürlerinde gelişme gücü, 1. yılın sonunda aşıya gelme oranı ve tecanüs tohumun elde edildiği malzeme kombinasyonuna göre farklı olmuştur. Gelişme gücünü kalıtsal yapı ile birlikte tohum iriliği de etkilemiştir. Tohum iriliğinin etkisi 2. yılda boy ve çapta, 5. yılda yalnızca boyda önemli çıkmıştır. Boyla çap arasındaki ilişkiler tüm melezleme kombinasyonlarında, her yıl önemli bulunmuştur. Ayrıca boy/tacın çapı oranı bakımından farklı değerler elde edilmiş, bu iki karakter arasında da önemli korelasyonlar saptanmıştır. Hemen tüm kombinasyonlarda tecanüs, 2. yıldan 5. yıla doğru kısmen artmıştır. Düzgün gövdelilik ve kök sürgünü vermede melezlemelere göre değişik oranlarda ortaya çıkmıştır.

Growth Characteristics of Chestnut Seedlings Obtained from the Crossings Among Some Important Cultivars

Abstract

This study was conducted on the chestnut seedling acquired from the crossings among the cultivars between 1979 and 1983 and the following results has been obtained. Vigor, uniformity, percentages of seedlings that could take bud at the end of the first year of growth varied according to the combination of the crossing. Vigor was also affected by nut size. Nut size statistically affected both the diameter and height of the seedlings by the second year and only height by the fifth year. Correlations between diameter and height was important in all of the combinations and the years. Besides this, correlations between the second- and fifth-years height and diameter were found to be important. Different height/crown diameter values were obtained and important correlations were also determined between the two characters. Uniformity in all of the combinations partly raised from the second to the fifth year. Percentages of the seedlings having straight trunk and root suckers were also different according to the crossing.
