The Nutrient Status of Pistachio Grown in South-East Anatolia

Abstract

The survey was conducted for assessing the nutrient status of pistachio (Pistacia vera L.) orchards in the most important pistachio production region of Turkey, southeast. For this study 30 orchards in three different ecologies were selected and leaf and soil samples were collected from these orchards. The results of soil and leaf analyses and observations in the orchards are as follows: Pistachio is generally grown in the reddish-brown forest soils. The one third of these soils are very shallow and have only A-horizon The soil is generally in loam texture, and medium to extreme alkaline. There is no salinity problem in this region. The calcium carbonate content of the soils is generally very high. The organic matter and the phosphorus content of the soils is generally at low level. The potassium and magnesium contents of many surveyed soils are at sufficient level. Based on the other fruit and nuts standard nutrient levels and accepted micro element levels for whole plant, the potassium content of the leaves is at insufficient level in some orchards in some years. The phosphorus, zinc and iron contents of the leaves are generally at insufficient level.

Antepfıstığı Besin Kapsamlarının Belirlenmesi Üzerinde Araştırmalar

Abstract

Bu çalışma Güneydoğu Anadolu Bölgesinde yetiştirilen Antepfıstığının beslenme durumunu ortaya koymak amacıyla ele alınmıştır. Bu amaçla 3 ayrı ekolojiden toplam 31 ünite seçilmiştir. Seçilen ünitelerden toprak ve yaprak örnekleri alınmış ve kestirme yöntemiyle verim tespiti yapılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre Antepfıstığı çoğunlukla kırmızımsı kahverengi topraklarda yetiştirilmektedir. Toprakların yaklaşık 1/3’ü sığ olup sadece A horizonu ihtiva etmektedir. İncelenen toprakların büyük bir kısmı tınlı bünyede, tuzsuz ve reaksiyonları orta ve ekstrem alkalidir. Kireç kapsamları yüksek ve çok yüksektir. Toprakların organik madde miktarları ve fosfor kapsamları genellikle az, potasyum ve magnezyum kapsamları bir iki ünite dışında yeterlidir. Bitki analiz sonuçlarına göre antepfıstığında yaygın fosfor, çinko ve demir noksanlığı tespit edilmiştir.
