Bulancak’ta Yetiştirilen Bazı Maviyemiş Çeşitlerinin Pomolojik Özellikleri

Abstract

Bu çalışma Giresun İli Bulancak İlçesinde yetiştirilen ‘Bluejay’, ‘Patriot’, ‘Brigitta Blue’, ‘Bluecrop’, ‘Toro’, ‘Chandler’, ‘Dorrow’, ‘Northland’, ‘Bluegold’ ve ‘Berkeley’ maviyemiş çeşitlerinin pomolojik ve morfolojik özelliklerini belirlemek amacıyla yürütülmüştür. Maviyemiş çeşitlerinde salkımdaki tane sayısı, meyve iriliği, meyve ağırlığı, tohum sayısı, suda çözünür kuru madde miktarı, titre edilebilir asit, pH, meyvede bir örneklilik, sürgün ve salkım özellikleri gibi kriterler incelenmiştir. Meyve ağırlığı yönünden ‘Chandler’ çeşidi 3.22 g ile en ağır meyvelere sahip iken, ‘Northland’ çeşidi 1.10 g ile en düşük meyve ağırlığına sahip olmuştur. Suda çözünür toplam kuru madde içeriği bakımından ‘Brigitta Blue’ çeşidi 9.56 ile en yüksek SÇKM değerine sahip iken, ‘Bluejay’ 8.15 ile en düşük değere sahiptir. Maviyemiş çeşitlerinin tamamı şekil yönünden bir örneklilik gösterirken irilik yönünden bir örneklilik değişkendir. Bütün çeşitlerde pus tabakası gözlenmiştir. Yapılan değerlendirme sonucunda; Brigitta blue, Chandler, Bluecrop çeşitleri meyve ağırlıkları bakımından yüksek değerlere sahip iken, Brigitta blue ve Bluecrop çeşitleri SÇKM, meyve büyüklüğü ve tat-aroma yönünden ön plana çıkmıştır.

Pomological Characteristics of Some Blueberry Varieties Grown In Bulancak

Abstract

This study was carried out to determine the pomological and morphological characteristics of Bluejay, Patriot, Brigitta Blue, Bluecrop, Toro, Chandler, Dorrow, Northland, Bluegold and Berkeley blueberries grown in Bulancak District of Giresun Province. The criteria such as number of berry per cluster, berry size, berry weight, number of seeds per berry, total soluble solid, titratable acid, pH, uniformity of berries, shoot and cluster characteristics were examined. In terms of berry weight, Chandler cultivar had the heaviest berry with 3.22 g, while Northland cultivar had the lowest berry weight with 1.10 g. Brigitta blue cultivar had the highest value with 9.56 while Bluejay had the lowest value with 8.15 for total soluble solid content. All varieties show uniformity in shape and size. Haze layer on berry was observed in all varieties. As a result of the evaluation Brigitta blue, Chandler, Bluecrop varieties had high values in terms of berry weights, while Brigitta blue and Bluecrop varieties have been suggested in terms of TSS, fruit size and taste-aroma.
