Decoding the Language: A Study on Scientific Research Methods and Their Applications in Linguistic Research

Year 2024, Volume: 4 Issue: 2, 100 - 129, 25.12.2024

Abstract

The research focuses on four main research methodologies: the descriptive method, the historical method, the comparative method, and the contrastive method. By exploring these methods, the research seeks to clarify the characteristics of each, its advantages, and the linguistic fields it suits, in addition to reviewing the practical applications of each. The importance of this research lies in its focus on the methodological aspect of language study, which is vital but may sometimes not receive sufficient attention. The research is divided into two main sections: the first deals with explaining the four main research methodologies, where a definition of each method, its history, conditions of use, strengths, and weaknesses are provided. The second presents practical examples of applying each research methodology in the linguistic context, and the research concludes with a summary of the key ideas and conclusions.

Year 2024, Volume: 4 Issue: 2, 100 - 129, 25.12.2024

Abstract

Dil Şifresini Çözme: Bilimsel Araştırma Yöntemleri ve Dil Araştırmaları Alanındaki Uygulamaları Üzerine Bir Çalışma

Year 2024, Volume: 4 Issue: 2, 100 - 129, 25.12.2024
