PSİKİYATRİ VE DİŞ HEKİMLİĞİ: EKSİK YAKLAŞILAN BAĞLANTI

Abstract

Yapılan değerlendirmelerde
kişilerin psikiyatrik bir sorunla karşı karşıya kalmasının yaygın olduğu önerilmektedir.
Diş hekimliği uygulamaları toplumun büyük bir kısmında yaygın bir şekilde
yapılmaktadır. Dolayısıyla bu tarz klinik sorunların diş hekimliği
kliniklerinde sıklıkla karşılaşılması ihtimali bulunmaktadır. Psikiyatrik tablolarda
kullanılan ilaçlar ve/veya hastalıklara eşlik eden klinik bulgular bu tarz
hastaların dental tedavilerinde dikkat gerektiren unsurları ortaya
çıkarmaktadır.



Bu derlemedeki amaç toplumda
sık izlenen ve diş hekimliği kliniğinde karşılaşılabilecek psikiyatrik hasta
grupların özelliklerini ortaya koymak ve olası dental tedavi süreçlerini tartışmaktır.
