Investigation of The Effect of Aging Time, Sanding and Cross Section on The Surface Quality of Fir Wood

Abstract

In this study, artificial aging with iron acetate ((CH₃COO)₂Fe) solution was applied to Fir wood and it was aimed to investigate effects of aging time, sanding number and cross section directions on surface roughness and color changes. The surface roughness parameter values ​​were measured according to ISO 4287 standard and color measurement analyzes was performed according to ISO 2469 standard. According to the obtained data, the smoothest surfaces in the radial and tangential sections were observed in the samples exposed to iron acetate for 15 minutes, respectively, which were sanded with sanders 150 and 80, respectively.

Göknar Odunun Yüzey Kalitesi Üzerine Yaşlandırma Süresi, Zımparalama ve Kesit Yönü Etkisinin Araştırılması

Öz

Bu çalışmada, Göknar odununa demir asetat ((CH₃COO)₂Fe) çözeltisi ile yapay yaşlandırma işlemi uygulanmış ve yaşlandırma işlemine maruz bırakılma süresi, zımpara numarası ve kesit yönlerinin yüzey pürüzlülüğü ve renk değişimleri üzerine olan etkilerinin araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Yüzey pürüzlülük parametre değerleri ISO 4287 standardına, renk ölçüm analizleri ISO 2469 standardına göre gerçekleştirilmiştir. Elde edilen verilere göre, radyal ve teğet kesitlerdeki en düzgün yüzeyler sırasıyla 150 ve 80 numaralı zımparalar ile zımpara işlemi uygulanan 15 dakika demir asetata maruz bırakılan numunelerde gözlemlenmiştir.
