Büyüyen Kentlerde Yeşil Alanların Konumu ve Geleceği: Kahramanmaraş Örneği

Abstract

Bu çalışma ile konut dokusu ve yeşil alanlardaki alansal değişimin, yeşil alanların yeterliliği üzerine etkileri

Kahramanmaraş kenti örneğinde uydu görüntüleri yardımıyla incelenmiştir. Sonuçlar, konut dokusunun son 6 yıl

içerisinde %42, yeşil alanların da 4 kat büyüdüğünü göstermiştir. Ancak konut dokusunun özellikle yüksek katlı

yapılar şeklinde yoğunlaşması nedeniyle bir yeşil alandan yararlanacak kişi sayısı artmakta ve yeşil alanlar

giderek yetersizleşmektedir. 2004 – 2006 yılları arasında mevcut yeşil alanlardan yararlanacak konut miktarı

%11 artmıştır. Bu nedenle, Kahramanmaraş kentinde yeşil alanların daha çok sayıda, geniş parseller halinde ve

kent geneline homojen dağılmış bir şekilde planlanması gerekmektedir.

Situation and the Future of Green Spaces in Growing Cities: the Case of Kahramanmaraş

Abstract

With this study, the effects of the aerial change in residential structure and green spaces on the adequacy of

green spaces in the city of Kahramanmaraş were investigated through satellite images. The results illustrated that

residential structure was expanded 42% while green spaces were multiplied by 4 times in the past six years.

However, the number of people who benefits from the green land increases due to concentration of residential

structure which especially consists of multiple-storey buildings. As a result the green spaces become insufficient.

The amount of residents which will benefit from the existing green spaces is increased as 11% between the years

2004 and 2006. Fort this reason, in the city of Kahramanmaraş, it is necessary to plan number of evenly

distributed large scale green spaces.
