The number of studies on mammals of Kapıdag Peninsula is insufficent. The present study is based on mammal
species collected and observed in Kapıdag Peninsula. Kapıdag Peninsula was visited as a total of 226 days
between 2001-2007. Field collections yielded 32 mammal species from 6 orders: Insectivora (5), Chiroptera (9),
Lagomorpha (1), Rodentia (7), Carnivora (7), Artiodactyla (3). Of the species recorded in this study are rare for
Kapıdag Peninsula: Lynx lynx and Felis silvestris.
