In this study, physical and botanical planning principles have been defined for the Bartin Forestry Faculty Arboretum which was thought to be established in the constitution of Bartin Faculty of Forestry. In this sense, the natural and cultural characteristics of the study area and physical structure for the arboretum, which should be fullfilled all of its functions about education, investigation and protection of nature, have been determined. As a botanical planning principle, the samples of the natural vegetation of Black Sea Region have been decided to display and reserve for the future. Furthermore, 16 different vegatation parcels like succulents and geofits, which were planned considering their sistematic features, were designed for the Bartin Forestry Faculty Arboretum.
