Yeni Kiral Yan Zincir Sıvı Kristal Homopolimerlerin Sentezi ve Karakterizasyonu

Abstract

Bu çalışmada,kiral yan zincirlere sahip imin bileşiklerinin (M1-M3) dizaynı ve sentezi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Olefinik uca sahip monomerlerin başlatıcı olarak AIBN varlığında gerçekleştirilen serbest radikal polimerizasyonu ile yan zincir sıvı kristal homopolimerleri (P1-P3) elde edilmiştir. Sentezlenen tüm monomerlerin ve homopolimerlerinin yapıları, standart spektroskopik yöntemler (UV, IR, 1H-NMR,13CNMR, MS) ile aydınlatılmış, mesomorfik özellikleri polarizasyon mikroskobu (POM) ve diferansiyel tarama kalorimetrisi (DSC) ile incelenmiştir. Yan zincir sıvı kristal homopolimerleri P1-P3’in ortalama molekül ağırlığı Jel Geçirgenlik Kromatografisi (GPC) ile belirlenmiştir

Synthesis and Characterization of New Chiral Side Chain Liquid Crystal Homopolymers

Abstract

In this study, imines compound having chiral side chains (M1-M3) were designed and synthesized. Side chain liquid crystalline homopolymers (P1-P3) of olefinic monomers were prepared in the presence of AIBN as an initiator by using free radical polymerization route. The structure of monomers and homopolymers were characterized by standart spectroscopic methods (UV-VIS, IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR and MS). The mesogenic behaviours of all the synthesized monomers and their homopolymers examined with differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and polarized optical microscopy (POM). The molecular weight of the polymers detected by using gel permeation chromatograpy (GPC) measurements
