POSTA HİZMETLERİ SEKTÖRÜNÜN ETKİNLİĞİ: BİR LİTERATÜR İNCELEMESİ

Abstract

Posta
hizmetleri endüstrisi, hizmet sektörü içerisinde önemli bir yer teşkil
etmektedir. Teknoloji ve iletişim biçimlerinin değişimi bu sektörü küresel
ölçekte yapısal değişime zorlamıştır. Bu değişim bir yandan eski faaliyet
biçiminin yeni talepler karşısında yetersiz kalmasından kaynaklanırken, diğer
taraftan sektördeki mülkiyet tartışmaları ekseninde gerçekleşmektedir. Bu
tartışmaların neredeyse tamamının odağında da etkinlik kaygılarının olduğu
görülmektedir.  Bu çalışmanın amacı,
geniş bir değişimin eşiğinde olan posta hizmetleri sektörünün etkinliğini
araştıran çalışmaların incelenmesidir. Çalışmalar kronolojik bir sıraya göre
ele alınarak sektöre olan bakış açısının seyri gözlemlenmiştir. Çalışmanın
sonucunda sektörün etkinliğinin incelenmesinde en önemli motivasyon
kaynaklarının mülkiyet yapısı ile piyasa yapısı olduğu görülmüştür.
