This study aims to understand the reasons behind Guinean international students’ decision to pursue their education in Turkey, their academic and social experiences, and their future plans after graduation. Data were collected through focus group interviews with eight participants and analyzed using thematic analysis via MAXQDA software. Three main themes emerged: "Educational and Life Experience in Turkey", "Academic and Personal Development in Turkey", and "Post-Graduation Goals and Future Plans". Findings reveal that students generally had positive experiences in Turkey, benefited from supportive elements in the cultural adaptation process, and developed various plans regarding both staying in Turkey and contributing to their home country. This research highlights Turkey’s growing attractiveness in higher education and the multifaceted nature of international students’ lived experiences.
