Türkiye’de Hanehalkı Nakit Kullanımını Belirleyen Faktörler

Abstract

Bu çalışmada alışverişlerdeki ödemelerde nakit kullanımında etkili olan faktörler TCMB tarafından 2020 yılında gerçekleştirilen Nakit Kullanım Alışkanlıkları Anketi verileri
kullanılarak araştırılmıştır. Probit model; demografik faktörlerin, işleme ilişkin özelliklerin ve nakde ilişkin tutum ve yargıların kişilerin nakit ile ödeme yapma tercihinde belirleyici olduğunu göstermektedir. Çalışmanın ana bulgusu; demografi ve işlem özelliklerine ek olarak, nakdi diğer ödeme yöntemlerinden ayıran özelliklerden kaynaklanan tutum
ve yargıların nakit kullanma tercihinde açıklayıcı oluşudur. Sonuçlar, nakit kullandığında bütçe kontrolü sağlanacağını ve nakdin diğer ödeme yöntemlerine göre daha güvenli olduğunu düşünenlerin nakit kullanma olasılığının daha yüksek olduğunu göstermektedir.
