Abstract
Bu çalışmada, Cumhuriyetten günümüze ülkemizde, ilköğretim kademesinde gerçekleştirilen program geliştirme çalışmaları ele alınarak ana hatlarıyla irdelenmiş ve dayandıkları esaslar ile program öğelerş farklı yönleriyle değerlendirilmeye çalışılmıştır. literatür taraması yöntemi kullanılarak çalışma konusu hakkında bilgi ve belgelere ulaşılmıştır. Mevcut bilgi ve belgeler yorumlanmıştır. Sonuçta, süreç içerisinde farklı zamanlarda farklı boyutlarıyla program geliştirme çalışmalarının yapıldığı, 1968 programına kadar programların toplu şekilde geliştirildiği; 1980'lerden sonra ise, program geliştirme çalışmalarının ders bazına indirgenerek günün değişen ve gelişen şartlarına uygun bir şekilde geliştirimeye çalışıldığı görülmektedir.

Abstract
In this study, the curriculum development attemps in primary schools has been made since the foundation of the Republic were studied in outline and the grounds they were based on and the elements of these curriculums were evaluated with their different sapects. The relevant knowledge and documents concerning the subject of the study obtained by using the literature search. The knowledge and documents available have been interpreted. In conclusion, it was seen that curriculum had been being developed alltogether until the year 1968 in which different curriculums were developed in different aspects and since then, curriculum development studies has been minimized to courses and tried to be developed More appropriately
