Abstract
Bu makalede Birinci Dünya Savaşı’na müttefik olarak katılan Osmanlı ve Avusturya-Macaristan imparatorluklarına farklı bir açıdan yaklaşılmıştır. Müttefik iki imparatorluk kadınlarının savaş deneyimleri, günümüzde gittikçe önem kazanan kadın hareketi tarihi çerçevesinde ele alınmıştır.
Savaş zamanı hak mücadelesinde yaşanan gelişmeler konusunda bir karşılaştırma yapabilmek için savaştan önceki ilerlemelerin tespiti önemlidir. Bunun için, ilk önce savaş öncesi dönem incelenmiştir.
Savaş zamanı müttefiklerin deneyimlerinin karşılaştırılması Osmanlı kadın hareketine farklı bir yerden bakılmasına olanak verir. Bu sayede Osmanlı kadın hareketinin çağdaşları Avrupalı devletlerdeki gelişmelere paralel bir seyir izleyip izlemediği ortaya çıkabilir.

Abstract
In this article, the Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian empires that joined the First World War as allies are approached from a different perspective. The war experiences of the women of the two allied empires are discussed within the context of the history of the women's movement, which is increasingly important today.
It is important to determine the progress before the war in order to make a comparison on the developments in the wartime struggle for rights. For this, the pre-war period is first studied. Comparing the experiences of the wartime allies allows a different view of the Ottoman women's movement. In this way, it can be revealed whether the contemporaries of the Ottoman women's movement followed a parallel course with the developments in European states.
