30 Ocak 1923 tarihinde imzalanan Yunan ve Türk halklarının mübadelesine ilişkin anlaşma gereği 1923-1927 yılları arasında Türkiye’ye 456.720 Müslüman gelmiş, gelenlerden 27.687 kişisi Denizli iline ve bağlı idari birimlere iskân edilmiştir. Denizli dördüncü iskân bölgesidir. Toplumsal bir travmanın insanları olan mübadillerin terk ettikleri mallara karşılık verdikleri tasfiye talepnameleri bugün Başbakanlık Cumhuriyet Arşivi’ndedir. Tasfiye talepnamelerinde gelen mübadillerin geldikleri memleketleri ve iskan edildikleri idari birimler yazılıdır. Denizli ilinde yer alan merkez ve diğer idari birimler olan Acıbadem/Acıpayam, Çivril, Denizli, Garb-i karaağaç, Sarayköy ve Tavas'a iskan edilen mübadillere ait mükerrerlerle birlikte toplam 145 adet tasfiye talepnamesi tespit edilmiştir. Belgelere göre toplam 204 talepname sahibinin 148’i erkek, 56’sı bayandır. Talepnamelere göre mübadiller Edirne, Girit, Manastır, Yanya, Cezayir-i Bahr-i Sefid, Selanik vilayetlerine bağlı idari birimlerden gelmişlerdir. Bu bakımdan Selanik Vilayeti en çok dikkati çeken idari birim olmuştur
According to the agreement which was signed in January 30,1923 related to Greek and Turkish publics’ exchange, 27.720 Muslims had been came to Turkey between the years 1923-1929, 27.687 people among the refugees were settled in Denizli an the administrative units belong to it. Denizli is a fourth settlement zone. Liquidation Requisitions, which were given by refugees who were people of a social trauma in return the goods they were left, are today in Premiership Republic Archives In Liquidation Requisitions, it is written refugees' hometowns they came from and the administrative units they were settled. 145 liquidation requisitions with the reiterateds, which were belong to the refugees settled in central and other administrative units located in Denizli, Acıbadem, Acipayam, Çivril, were determined. According to the documents, out of the total 204 requisition owners was composed of 48 man and 56 woman. According to requisitions, refugees came from units belong to the cities Adrianapolis, Crete, Monaster, Janina, Cezayir-i Bahr-i Sefid, Thessaloniki. The most remarkable one among them is Thessaloniki
