Abstract

Denizli-Buldan’da dünyaya gelen Necip Bey, Buldan Rüştiyesini bitirdikten sonra ticaret ve memurluk yapmıştır. Mondros Mütarekesi sonrası İzmir ve havalisinin işgal edileceği endişesiyle 17 Mart 1919’da İzmir’de toplanan kongreye Buldan delegesi olarak katılmıştır. 23 Nisan 1920’de açılan Meclis’e Denizli milletvekili olarak katılmıştır. Bir ay olmadan 20 Mayıs’ta aldığı izin ile Buldan’a dönmüştür. Buldan’ın Yunan işgali altına girmesiyle Buldan Heyet-i Milliyesi’nin kuruluşunda yer almış ve Heyet-i Milliye’nin faaliyetlerinde görev üstlenmiştir. Buldan’da dokuma ticareti ile meşgul olan Necip Bey, diğer taraftan işgal altındaki Buldan’da gizli olarak Milli Mücadele’yi desteklemek için çaba göstermiştir. İşgal döneminde Yunan askerleri tarafından kendisine işkence yapılmış ve işkence nedeniyle fıtık olmuştur. Milli Mücadele sonrasında ticari hayata devam ederken Hilal-i Ahmer Cemiyeti Reisliği de yapan Necip Buldanlıoğlu 1 Eylül 1946’da altmış dokuz yaşında Buldan’da vefat etmiştir

A FIRST ASSEMBLY DEPUTY, NECİP BEY (BULDANLIOĞLU), AND HISPLACE IN THE NATIONAL STRUGGLE

Abstract

Necip Bey, who was born in Buldan, Denizli, engaged in trade and worked as a civil servant after graduating from the junior high school of Buldan. He participated as a representative of Buldan in the Izmir Congress that was summoned on 17 March 1919 due to the fear of invasion of Izmir and surrounding areas after the Mudros armistice. He took part in the assembly, which was founded on 23 April 1920, as a deputy of Denizli. He got permission to return to Buldan after he spent less than a month in the assembly. He participated in the foundation of Heyet-i Milliye of Buldan due to the Greek occupation of Buldan and assumed roles in its activities. Necip Bey engaged in the textile trade, but he also endeavored to support the National Struggle, secretly, in Greek-occupied Buldan. He was tortured during the occupation period by Greek soldiers and he suffered from hernia because of that torture. After the National Struggle he continued his trade in addition to serving as the chief of Hilal-i Ahmer Cemiyeti (the Red Crescent).
