Evaluation process

Articles sent to BELGU go through a double-blind peer-review process. In cases where there is a difference of opinion between the referees, the article is sent to a third referee. The processes related to the articles published with the approval of the referee and the approval of the editor can be followed through Dergipark in terms of being ethical, clear, understandable and accountable.

The referee evaluations, which are sent to the journal by filling out the evaluation form, must be carried out in full confidentiality. The referees cannot publish the information in the studies sent to them, even partially. After the referee reports, if the article has been accepted for publication, the authors are responsible for making their work suitable for referee criticism. If the authors do not consider it appropriate to make changes on their work, they explain the reasons. In this case, the final decision can be sent to a new referee or decided by the editors.

Similarity Rate

At the stage of article submission, authors should upload the similarity scanning report (iThenticate or Turnitin) to the system with their work. The studies of the authors who do not send the similarity screening report will not be evaluated. In case of detection of plagiarism in the studies, the study is rejected. The similarity rate in the study should not exceed 20%.
