Bilgesci is an open access journal — all manuscripts published in these journals are freely available online for anyone. There are no subscription or submission charges. Our journal operates under the Creative Commons Attribution License International Version 4 (CC BY 4.0). This allows for the reproduction of articles free of charge with the appropriate citation information. All authors publishing with Bilgesci Journal accept these as the terms of publication.

Submission
All manuscripts must be submitted electronically via the Internet through the online system for BİLGESCİ at https://dergipark.org.tr/en/journal/1700/submission/step/manuscript/new.
Papers are accepted for evaluation on the understanding that:
- They have not been published.
- They are not being considered for publication simultaneously elsewhere.
- They are not going to be submitted for publication elsewhere.
After a manuscript has been submitted, it is not possible for authors to be added or removed or for the order of authors to be changed. If authors do so, their submission may be canceled.
All authors need to have their ORCID iDs so that the process of evaluation and publishing of the manuscripts can continue in accordance with our publishing policy.
Preparation of Manuscript
Manuscripts must be prepared according to the journal template. Articles that are not prepared in accordance with the template and formatting rules will be returned to the author during preliminary evaluation.

General Formatting Rules
- Language: English only
- Page size: A4 (210 mm × 297 mm)
- Margins: 2 cm from all four sides (top, bottom, left, right)
- Layout: Single column
- Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt for all body text
- Line spacing: 1.5
- Paragraph spacing: Single line (one enter) between paragraphs
- Alignment: Justified (both sides)
- Reference style: APA 7th Edition
Manuscript Structure
Title: The title should be informative, avoid abbreviations if possible, and should not exceed 15 words. It should be written in Times New Roman, 14 pt, bold, and centered.
Author Information: First name and surname of the authors, institutional affiliation and address, and corresponding author's e-mail address should be provided. (This section will be completed by the editorial office; leave it blank in the submitted manuscript.)
Abstract: The abstract should clearly state the purpose, methods, main findings, and conclusions of the research. It should not exceed 300 words and should not contain any references, figures, or tables.
Keywords: Maximum 6 words, arranged in alphabetical order, separated by commas. Abbreviations should be avoided if possible.
1. Introduction: Background and significance of the research problem should be provided, supported by the most recent and relevant publications. The aim of the study should be clearly stated at the end of the introduction.
2. Material and Method: Authors should provide a concise description of the experimental site, design, materials, analytical methods, and statistical procedures used. This section should be clear enough to enable other researchers to replicate the study.
3. Results: Findings should be presented with figures and/or tables. Data from tables or figures should not be extensively repeated in the text. The same information presented in a table should not be repeated in a figure, or vice versa. Relevant statistical information should be provided, and statistical significance should be clearly indicated where applicable.
4. Discussion and Conclusion: Interpretation of results should be presented in relation to previous research. Similarities and/or differences with findings in the literature should be discussed. Results and Discussion sections may be combined. Main conclusions should be presented clearly, concisely, and may be numbered.
Acknowledgements (optional): Acknowledgements of funds, grants, or other support may be placed here.
Ethics Committee Approval: If ethics committee approval is required, the approval document should be attached. If not required, write "N/A."
Peer-review: Since articles published in the journal are subject to the peer-review process, the statement "Externally peer-reviewed" should be written in this section.
Author Contributions: The specific contribution of each author should be stated. Example: Conceptualization: N.S.; Investigation: N.S.; Material and Methodology: N.S., N.S.; Supervision: N.S.; Visualization: N.S.; Writing-Original Draft: N.S.; Writing-review & Editing: N.S.; Other: All authors have read and agreed to the published version of the manuscript.
Conflict of Interest: Authors should declare any conflicts of interest. Example: "The authors have no conflicts of interest to declare."
Funding: If financial support was received, it should be stated. Example: "The authors declared that this study has received no financial support."
Figures and Tables
- Figures and tables should be placed within the text at the appropriate location.
- Figure and table captions should be written in Times New Roman, 12 pt, justified.
- Figure captions are placed below the figure; table captions are placed above the table.
- Table and figure contents should be in Times New Roman, 10–12 pt.
References (APA 7th Edition)
All citations and references must follow the APA 7th Edition format.
In-text Citations
- Single author: Özdemir (2018) or (Özdemir, 2018)
- Two authors: Özkan and Gülsoy (2015) or (Özkan & Gülsoy, 2015)
- Three or more authors: Beram et al. (2020) or (Beram et al., 2020)
References cited together in the text should be arranged chronologically. Publications by the same author in the same year should be listed as 2021a, 2021b, etc.
Reference List
The reference list should be arranged alphabetically by the first author's surname. All authors of each publication must be included. Journal titles and conference proceedings should not be abbreviated. Use a hanging indent format (first line flush left, subsequent lines indented 1.27 cm).

Manuscript Types
Original research articles, review articles, research notes/short communications, case studies/case reports, and letters to the editor are welcome.
The publication process of the Bilge International Journal of Science and Technology Research takes place within the framework of ethical principles. The procedures in the process support the quality of the studies. For this reason, it is of great importance that all stakeholders involved in the process comply with ethical standards.
Bilge International Journal of Science and Technology Research expects its readers, authors, reviewers, and editors to take ethical responsibility.
The ethical codes expected from the studies and publication processes of the Bilge International Journal of Science and Technology Research are stated below in the light of the guidelines and policies prepared by the Committee on Publication Ethics-COPE.(For detailed information COPE Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors).

Ethic principles for authors
The works must be original, not published elsewhere and in accordance with scientific research and publication ethics.
Authors should confirm that they have read and understood the author's instructions.
All authors are expected to contribute to the study.
All data in the article should be real and original.
Whether or not the article requires ethical committee approval is the responsibility of the authors. Ethics committee approval should be stated at the end of the article with the material and method.
Ethic principles for referees
Comments should be made objectively.
Personal criticism of the author is not appropriate.
Referees should express their views openly, with supportive discussions and references when necessary. However, it should not be defamatory or defamatory.
Referees must declare competing interests.
Referees should refuse to review articles with conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships or links or affiliated organizations with authors, and companies.
Referees should respect the confidentiality of the materials provided to them and should not discuss unpublished articles with their colleagues or use the information in their own work.
If a referee wants to send a review request to a colleague, he/she must obtain the editor's permission in advance.
Referees must be impartial.
Ethic principles for Editors
Writing independence should be ensured. Editorial decisions should be based on the quality of the work and the appropriate referee evaluation rather than on political, financial or personal effects.
Editors are obliged to guide the referees for any information. This information sharing should be based on COPE principles.
Editors should adopt an appropriate review process for their journals, workspaces, and resources.
Editors should not be refused to publish in their own journals, but should not take advantage of their positions. Proceed according to the journal procedure.
The principle of editorial independence should always be adopted.

Publication Policy
BILGESCI adopted the policy of providing open access to the publication.
Open access will lead to beneficial outcomes for humanity by increasing the global exchange of information.
There is no article processing and article submission charge for submitted articles for publication in BILGESCI.
Policy to Plagiarism
The authors have to check the articles against plagiarism with the "iThenticate or Turnitin Plagiarism Detection" software before the manuscript is submitted. Except for the references section, the similarity index in the search will have to be below 20%. It is mandatory that the iThenticate or Turnitin software be provided in the report when the article is being recorded on the manuscript submission. The journal routinely screens article submissions for plagiarism.
